Surface Design Laser Cut

Image
Hello, I'm here to show the results of my laser cut. actually quite well I'm very happy with how this turned out I think the design transferred really well I think the only thing I would have changed is I would have changed the contrast between the layers so I probably would have gotten a bit more depth in a bit more shading but I'm quite happy with how they turned out I have my full-size copy which I did and my miniature which I did just kind of has a test, on which would I do think I almost said the miniature more just cause of the depths that it gives helps to add a little bit of that contrast it needs, but I love the clean look of my final copy so pleased to different Woods couldn't remember I think the bigger one is birch the second one can't remember for the life of me be smaller one but yes it was quite nice I'm quite enjoy doing this project is really fun

Final Chess set

Here is the Final copy of my chess set. This was by far the most fun I've had doing any project. The final copy is very adorable and came out way better than I imagined. I had no real problems developing or printing these. So without further delay here is the final product and printing process enjoy!

Part one of the Chess set progress

Hello, here we are with the first part of my Kirby Chess set progress kind of the design ideas starts so far. I have started with the basis for each of my pieces so I've made a smaller but taller base upon I've made the kind of medium in-between base for the knights, Rooks, and Bishops and then I've made the widest but also the lowest base for the king and queen and I've started making the basic shapes for the queen and for the rook. The bases were quiet in comparison to the rest of the project so far. I am basing things off of chess pieces I have at home I'm later going to scare these up so they are much larger but from now on it's just a base so they are all roughly 20 mm or smaller in diameter. It's only going to be tiny in the program but they will be much larger in the final print. Moving on from the bases I wanted to see to make if I could make a sphere for the queen Just to start as the queen is going to be the main character Kirby and it's he&#

Chess set designs

Hello, this is my few chess designs. I decided to do a handful of designs rather than just one I kind of wanted to give my give a few options also ranging in difficulty as well as kind of like my own version of out of the box. The first one we have is a Kirby set. Kirby is from a video game of the same name with smaller rounder cuter characters. I was wanting to do something like that added elements of cuteness to chess to make it a little bit you know more friendly to those who are new to chess. Moving along with that same idea of a beginner-friendly chess set I have another more simplistic kind of design for all the pieces. Each piece is based on the way that same piece moves, for instance, The Rook moves in a plus sign so the shape would be also a plus sign having each square mirror its pattern on the board while having the pieces being black being raised and the white being lowered having kind of like an up and down snaking pattern to give the pieces more character.  And last but

Reverse Engineering Final with render

Hello here again with my final version of my compass the reverse engineering is complete. I personally had a lot of fun with this project it was really interesting to me even the challenging bits were quite nice to figure out. The hardest part is the two little Shield-like things on the left side there that allows a compass to adjust the measurement and it was incredibly difficult to break apart and just get all the measurements of all the tight nooks and crannies. Other than that it was quite relaxing although a little tedious in some cases as it was a bunch of double-checking measurements. By far one of my favorite projects as I got to put my abilities to the test and really helped me work on my outside-of-the-box thinking figuring out what's the most efficient and best way I could make this shape with the least amount of work while also getting the most amount of quality out of It.

Tehcnical drawings part 1

This is the beginning of my technical drawings for the Reverse Engineering project. Not only was this a way bigger challenge than I realized but also turned out to be quite relaxing. I choose to do the compass and that came followed by tearing this thing apart and measuring every crack and crevasse of the compass. The First thing I wanted to document was my screws and screw-associated items that held everything together and then after were what helped hold in the lead and metal spike.
