Part one of the Chess set progress
Hello, here we are with the first part of my Kirby Chess set progress kind of the design ideas starts so far. I have started with the basis for each of my pieces so I've made a smaller but taller base upon I've made the kind of medium in-between base for the knights, Rooks, and Bishops and then I've made the widest but also the lowest base for the king and queen and I've started making the basic shapes for the queen and for the rook. The bases were quiet in comparison to the rest of the project so far. I am basing things off of chess pieces I have at home I'm later going to scare these up so they are much larger but from now on it's just a base so they are all roughly 20 mm or smaller in diameter. It's only going to be tiny in the program but they will be much larger in the final print. Moving on from the bases I wanted to see to make if I could make a sphere for the queen Just to start as the queen is going to be the main character Kirby and it's he's just they have just like a very simple round shape with little nubs I've been wanting to move on to the more problematic character being Metaknight with the interesting shapes just trying to get some of the overall curves in the shapes down at the moment what was the hardest for this project was getting trying to do a semicircle and getting the placements on that right as if I don't have the curved at the circle of the came from makes it a lot harder I've realized probably it'd be interesting if I could have like I have different ways that I could snap spherical objects onto each other. Other than that the making of the semi-circle and mask were fairly straightforward just to make just the same issue of object snapping. So far so good more updates soon.
